The Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing in Gaza is Driven by Hamas' Sacrifice of its Own Citizens: Part 2
I've long supported Palestinian Rights and Independence. But no amount of screaming will change the fact that Hamas deliberately and alone has destroyed all the work done to move that goal forward.
I’ve been told on other sites that my first comment came across as ‘one sided.’ This is as opposed to the vast majority of current writing and commentary on the war in Gaza and on Hamas — to include the vast majority of supposed ‘pro Palestinian’ demonstrators — most of whom continue to misrepresent and stroke Hamas as a ‘Palestinian Rights’ or ‘Independence’ movement. Continue to act as Hamas apologists for its genocidal slaughter, extreme sexual violence, and brutal hostage taking of 7 October. Refuse to assign accountability, responsibility, and pressure to Hamas for the extreme violence it deliberately brought to both Israel and its own in Gaza all for its own purposes.
The reality is that ‘Palestinian ‘Rights’ or ‘Palestinian Independence’ is anathema to Hamas. Instead, Hamas is an Iranian (and Russian) sponsored terror proxy tailored only to ethnically cleanse Israel of all Jews and expand their occupation to land they never ‘owned.’ For Putin, it was also to distract from his own small (true) genocide or Ukrainians. But that will keep for another commentary...
Debates over and the wish for Israel’s dissolution are self serving and destructive all on their own accord. Israel is not going anywhere and the sooner that is accepted, the sooner we can get started towards real solutions. For now, however, Hamas and their sponsors are fighting to annihilate Israel while Israel is still fighting for its very survival. Can readers see the difference in this reality? And Hamas has no intent to release its brutal dictatorial control over Gaza and its citizens but wants to expand on it further.
Remember that the kibbutzim Hamas first attacked on 7 October were the the ‘peace’ Kibbutz; that is, those many Israelis who strongly believed in and advocated for a two-state solution and true Palestinian Rights. Those who strongly supported the citizens of Gaza to include securing and getting them to needed medical care. Many of the survivors of those Kibbutzim have been changing their perspective — and only due to Hamas’ terrorism and extreme violence. This also does not serve a true movement for Palestinian Independence
Now, and only because of Hamas, many desperately ill Gazans including those with cancer and renal failure are no longer receiving life saving care in Israeli hospitals. They are suffering greatly and many must be dying. But the media and so many Hamas apologists seem to have fully missed this story...along with many other realities impacted by Hamas’ genocide towards both Israel and it’s own citizens.
Hamas has made clear who it is, what is stands for and what it intends to do, but so many simply refuse to listen and understand for their own insistent perseveration on Israel alone.
Hamas has spent 20 years acting as would organized crime in Gaza brutalizing, stealing aid, and extorting from Gazan citizens trapped by its brief but violent civil war with Fatah and its subsequent military occupation of Gaza in 2007. Israel is not, in fact, the occupiers of Gaza. That is — only — a role taken by Hamas.
My associated commentaries are an attempt to fill a massive and truly one sided void with reality, History, fact...and another informed perspective which I present with honesty. Another missed story is that Hamas is now killing as many of their own citizens as they can since each dead Gazan only puts more international pressure on Israel without any accountability at all for the true cause of the violence; that is, Hamas.
As the occupiers of Gaza (again, Israel unilaterally ended its occupation of Gaza in 2005), it is Hamas who should have specifically prepared for and been ready to protect and feed the citizens of Gaza. It is Hamas who the world, the UN, the press, Palestinian ‘Rights’ movements should be focusing on and pressuring to end the violence and feed their children.
But Hamas was only prepared to protect itself while counting dead citizens on its Gaza health and propaganda ministry scoreboard for the international press to transcribe and repeat without question or challenge. Israel has spokespersons who can be questioned and challenged even if we may not always like the answers. Such contact is not available with or by Hamas, however. All Hamas does is offer contradictory statements all of which are also and immediately transcribed by a breathless media. This is yet another missed story by the world media and ‘pro-Palestinian’ activists.
There are so many missed stories but for the antisemitic and anti-Zionist perseveration on Israel.
But due to the far ‘over the top’ prosecution of this Hamas caused war and the excessive and counterproductive military bulldozing of Gaza by Netanyahu and the Jewish Supremacist coalition to whom he is beholden, Hamas has effectively run a cynical, genocidal con using their own citizens to successfully bait Netanyahu and scam the world’s press. And to note, these were component pieces of my 9 April commentary.
Netanyahu knows full well he is nowhere close to ‘eliminating’ Hamas but, instead, has practically assured their survival by his actions and desperation to hold onto the PM’s office at all cost. Based on the brutal response to this Hamas caused war by Netanyahu and his coalition to include unleashing violent settler factions, Hamas will easily fill their ranks to make up for those killed and captured.
I will end by identifying that no matter the degree of brutality, Israel is still not engaged in the ‘genocide’ or ‘ethnic cleansing’ as Hamas has, instead, shown towards Israel and it’s own citizens in Gaza. Only when ‘pro-Palestinian’ activists, Hamas apologists, and those nations like Iran and Russia who sponsor terror proxies like Hamas accept that Israel will survive will the violence become neutralized and real solutions made possible.
A key element is that Netanyahu and his fellow extremists should have been forced to give up power on 8 October. Since that did not happen, now is the time. Netanyahu must be forced from office along with his deadly coalition government.
Now is also the time for the Hamas supporting ‘pro-Palestinian’ performance artists, Hamas apologists and UN collaborators to honestly see what is Hamas and recognize the responsibility Hamas has for the violence and extreme suffering in Gaza. Both Hamas and Netanhyahu must be gone.
It is Hamas and their new found allies in the West who are most dangerous to Gazan citizens and any future Palestinian Independence movement. It is also and only the actions of Hamas which has now set back Palestinian Rights and autonomy, perhaps, by a decade.
To note, I have supported Palestinian Rights and true Independence for years. I have written about it for years. But no amount of screaming will now change the fact that Hamas alone has destroyed all the work which had been done towards this goal...even despite Netanyahu and the Israeli Right. We seemed to be getting closer to include maybe and finally enlisting Saudi Arabia. But this also and very likely drove the timing of the October 7 massacre.
I think securing increased Palestinian autonomy — though not statehood — is still realistic to include Israel’s ultimate backing off of its Gaza blockade. But there is no chance so long as Hamas remains the primary controlling entity in Gaza. And, again, no screaming will change what Hamas has done or how Israel has responded. We need to get back to the real work and organizing needed. It is, after all, a very complicated issue
